What is a fun fact about your business or its history?
The business idea originated at a dinner with IBM colleagues at the Mayflower Inn, now Mayflower Grace in Washington, Connecticut.
Each year we would meet around the Christmas holiday, and I suggested that one day when I leave corporate life, I would start my own business.
I vowed I would follow up on my promise and when each of them was ready to join me I would welcome them.
In the past many of us helped IBM business partner companies get started growing their businesses.
At our last gathering in 2023, I vowed I would follow up on my promise and when each of them was ready to join me I would welcome them.
The original name was going to be Mayflower Inc, but I decided that given we are in an era of business digital transformation I would rename my business to Digital Services Consulting LLC.
Why did you choose Connecticut?
I chose Connecticut after having moved into the area in 1991 with IBM, as I was transferred here as a systems engineer to work with large manufacturing and insurance companies.
There are so many key industry businesses in the state that make Connecticut the perfect place to provide IT consulting services.
Coming from New York with the congestion, high taxes, and difficult quality of life, I decided it would be a great place to also raise my family.
What is the greatest advantage to operating in Connecticut?
One of the advantages is the proximity to businesses in several states around Connecticut.
In addition, having access to business communities like CBIA, CCAT, workforce and government leaders who demonstrate a passion to help businesses, employees, students work together, build skills, and become successful is very important to me.
The commitment I see from the Connecticut Office of Manufacturing to help new and existing workers develop skills, obtain employment and funding is amazing.
How do you try to give back to your community?
I give back to my community as a technology advisor and mentor to local schools in the area.
In addition, I have been sharing ideas and recommendations to help students stay connected and engaged in their education roadmap and future employment.

I recently shared a detailed interactive workflow named the social education ecosystem platform that allows students from served and underserved communities to empower themselves to be successful in life and career.
Working with partnership executives from the Ray Dalio organization, I continue to push forth my solutions, seeking collaboration and teamwork to address the challenges Connecticut faces with school graduations, disconnection, and job attainment based on personal and environmental factors.
Where do you see your company in five years? Ten years?
I see an expansion in the number of skilled talented employees and former colleagues, joining my company.
I see many referenced use cases where my company’s consulting services helped make businesses successful.
I would like to see our company recognized by the state of Connecticut as a team that is viewed as a key consultant to the state, accelerating and complimenting the initiatives that help businesses grow, be successful and stay in Connecticut.
What is the main thing policymakers could implement to make your company more competitive?
Policymakers can shine an intense light on the importance of preparing for cybersecurity threats, implementing IT disaster recovery, and data backup plans.
This issue should be a priority as we face an era of increased cybersecurity breaches, ransomware issues, and a need for data privacy and compliance. (i.e. FISM, HIPAA, PCI, etc.)
In addition, it is critical that policymakers put the right compliance and regulations in place for businesses when it comes to artificial intelligence to ensure AI does not negatively impact businesses.
