Waddle, the developer of the interactive artificial intelligence (AI) agent “Gentoo,” announced on the 4th that it has been selected as a supplier of the “2025 AI voucher support project” organized by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the National Information and Communication Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA).
The AI voucher support project is a program that supports demand companies such as small and medium-sized companies and small business owners to introduce excellent AI solutions from suppliers to increase work efficiency and accelerate digital transformation, and the scale of business support is up to 200 million won.
Waddle plans to expand the supply of its AI agent solution ‘Gentoo’ through this AI voucher support project. It plans to apply customized AI agents specialized in commerce to companies selected as demand companies to innovate the customer experience of shopping malls and increase the actual purchase conversion rate.
Gentoo is a multi-agent-based enterprise software-as-a-service (B2B SaaS) solution that helps customers make purchase decisions in online shopping malls. As soon as customers explore or think about purchasing a product, the floating button is activated, and it is characterized by natural conversations like veteran clerks at offline stores to identify purchase intentions and provide appropriate recommendations to prevent customers from leaving and increase the purchase conversion rate.
In particular, it provides a more personalized shopping experience by learning vast amounts of commerce data such as product information, reviews, and counseling records of each company, as well as consumer interests and purchase patterns.
“Gentoo goes beyond simply recommending products, and it finds dialogue and recommendation strategies optimized for various categories and platforms to induce customers to purchase,” said Cho Yong-won, Chief Strategy Officer (CSO).
